Abstract
The importance of this article lies in reflecting on and valuing the capacity for generosity, self-giving, and service of young university students at the Salesian Polytechnic University. Throughout their formative journey, they not only receive professional training but also open themselves to the experience of active involvement in the groups of the Salesian University Association (ASU), where they encounter different moments of formation, accompaniment, and service. Through this gradual experience, upon completing their studies, they have the opportunity to serve with both their profession and their Christian vocation in international contexts. In a society that prioritizes individualism, volunteer work promotes solidarity, contribution to the community, and integral personal growth through service. This article will highlight the above by presenting the process of formation, accompaniment, testimonies, and lived experiences of young international volunteer professionals.
