Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic radically transformed the global economic landscape, including Ecuador. This book, divided into seven chapters, offers a detailed analysis of the financial impact on various economic sectors of the country. Compiled by the Accounting and Auditing Department of the Salesiana Polytechnic University, Guayaquil headquarters, this book is based on rigorous research presented as undergraduate academic articles. The studies, prepared by faculty and student members of the Applied Financial and Accounting Research Group (GIFCA), analyze how large Ecuadorian companies have faced unprecedented challenges to survive and prosper in an uncertain economic environment. This work is essential for academics, accounting and auditing professionals, and people interested in business dynamics.
