Abstract
The inclusion of high consumption electrical loads such as induction stoves and electric heaters has made it necessary to install a second phase in many homes. This brings with it the problem of unbalances in the currents of each phase. The present work proposes the use of two inverter topologies acting as active two-phase power filters. In addition to the reactive power compensation capability, these filters can balance the active power in each phase for two-phase systems with 120° and with 180° between phases.
