Abstract
Education has always been one of the cornerstones of human societies, enabling the construction and transmission of knowledge, contributing to the formation of contemporary citizens so that they act with ethical principles, and seeking to shape the values and purposes that guide collective life. Since the 1990s, under the leadership of Federico Mayor Zaragoza as Director-General of UNESCO, educational philosophy has delved deeper into the construction of a culture of peace, conceived as an inalienable and fundamental human right in today's society. This book captures this spirit by addressing, in its various sections, the ethical and civic principles necessary to develop conscious individuals committed to peace and social justice.
