Abstract

This collective work exposes various theoretical, ontological, epistemological, axiological and practical conceptions about the origin, meaning, problems, advantages, detriments, alternatives and challenges of the philosophy of innovation and its impact on education; it reflects on the contributions of technology and answers questions such as: What are the contributions of the philosophical tradition, enlightened thought, postmodernity and critical theory for the philosophy of educational innovation? What is the function of philosophy for the understanding of innovation?; How is techno-scientific progress explained from contemporary epistemology? What is the pedagogical component of innovation?; What are the contributions of Laudato Si for educational innovation? In addition, it raises the need to rethink some aspects related to education, the State and Latin American identity to determine the possibilities, limitations and challenges of innovation, understood as a phenomenon in permanent construction. This volume is made up of eight chapters in which the authors formulate a set of contributions for the generation of new research. In addition, it shows innovation as a process that requires reformulations. Innovation continues to be one of the pending tasks of philosophy.
