Abstract
Associative experiences linked to culture and art play a decisive role in the comprehensive training of students of Higher Education Institutions, enriching their academic experience to promote a more inclusive and diverse society. The Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador, in these thirty years of institutional life, has become a benchmark in the promotion of cultural activities that transcend the class-rooms and provides significant learning opportunities for the members of its Educational Community. In this chapter, we explore the cultural management expe-riences of the Salesian Polytechnic University, analyzing how these initiatives have contributed to the comprehen-sive training of the members of its Academic Community and have strengthened their commitment to society. Fol-lowing a historical line we analyze in three moments. The first stage, from its foundation in a process of sustained growth and expansion under the direction of its first rector; a second, linked to a process of institution consolidation under the leadership of its second rector; and, finally, the stage of educational innovation and internationalization with the leadership of its third rector.
