Abstract
This article analyzes the active experiences implemented in the reinforcement of the teaching of Social Sciences for children of the "Nueva Vida" community. This approach is based on active pedagogy, where students participate directly and experientially in their learning process, through strategies such as the use of didactic materials, collaborative games and research projects. The proposed activities seek to strengthen the understanding of fundamental topics such as the geography, history and social organization of Ecuador, adapted to the needs and context of the children of this community. The research combines a qualitative and quantitative approach, where both students' perceptions of the learning process and the results in terms of academic performance are evaluated. Preliminary findings show that the use of active methodologies not only improves the level of retention and comprehension of content, but also increases children's motivation, promoting a more dynamic and participatory learning environment. It also highlights how these strategies contribute to the development of socio-emotional skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence.
