Abstract

The work analyzes forms of social and economic exclusion existing in a children's center before and during the pande-mic. The problem was evidenced in the pre-professional practices in which children in the kindergarten 2 and first grade of elementary school were excluded due to social, economic, linguistic and physical factors. The exclusion came from the teacher, on other occasions from the chil-dren themselves, and even self-exclusion was observed. For this reason, we sought to learn more about this problem, which is a topic that is almost never addressed at the early childhood level. The research used a qualitative methodology. Techniques such as interviews and observation were used to gather information. The results show what was observed, the points of view of two teachers and a psychologist. It is determined that educational exclusion is caused by social, linguistic and economic factors. In addition, it is shown how this can affect the socialization process of children. The conclusions emphasize the need to address social exclusion as a problem that is present at the early childhood level, more widespread than it should be, that affects the socialization process and requires timely intervention by teachers.
