Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and its relationship with demand response (DR). The paper proposes some alternatives for the optimal deployment of the communications infrastructure from a heterogeneous solution that articulates the cellular network contemplated from a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with a multi-hop network from IEEE 802.15.4g, integrated in universal data aggregation points (UDAP). These hubs will be able to achieve an interconnection with the nearest cellular radio base. Considering that the information is recurrent and necessary to make the projection of the demand response (DR) with information received, it is necessary then that the deployment is optimal to achieve adequate maintenance of the network, in addition to achieving scalability of the infrastructure with the least economic impact.
