The aim of this work is to make a critical approach to anthropology and cultural studies, in order to try to find among them the points of encounter and rupture with regard to their views on culture, their epistemological approaches, their methodological contributions, especially with regard to ethnographic methods, but above all on their ethical and political implications. For this we will initially locate the historicity and the respective processes that make them possible; we will reflect on their postulates, on their encounters and ruptures, and finally we will analyze case studies of researchers who, from the dialogue between Anthropology and Cultural Studies, are proposing a different proposal for the realization of the ethnographic work.
