Abstract
The authors of the following article investigate the "Study of the influence of phubbing on the teaching-learning outcomes of students in the areas of social sciences at the Salesian Polytechnic University". The work focuses on the excessive use of mobile devices, called "phubbing", a combination of the words phone and snubbing, a mixture of phone and snubbing. Currently, this practice is common due to the advances in technology, the ease of access to the Internet and the emergence of social networks, but it is especially reflected in the young population, because it is observed that their attention is prioritized to a screen, rather than to their environment. As remarked by a group of health specialists, "the excessive use of mobile devices induces non-verbal behavior, limiting face-to-face interaction with the other person and contact with the environment around us".
