Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has caused changes in several areas, including industry and education. It focuses on the need for students to learn, not only concepts, but also develop skills aimed at understanding and using AI tools for the academic, professional, vocational and personal part. To do this, educational institutions must be open to building adaptable plans by knowing the AI tools available, in which groups they can be applied and their implementations. The general objective of the research is to carry out a bibliometric review of the use of artificial intelligence in education. The PRISMA methodology was used to obtain 20 articles from the IEEE and Scielo databases; it was combined with Vosviewer data visualization software in which 64 articles from Scopus were used. Among the main results, it was obtained that the most used and well-known AI tools are: Google Classroom, Natural Reader and Socrative; present at all educational levels from preschool; used in learning, research support, assessment construction and virtual tutoring; It is applied in the areas of language, medicine and computer sciences; The country that most promotes its use is China. According to the research results, AI strengthens the teaching-learning process through dynamic means that develop skills, encourage collaboration, identify students' strengths and weaknesses, and culminate in personalization of learning.
