Abstract
Hearing impairment represents a significant challenge for millions of people around this world (especially in Latin America). This condition generates obstacles in various contexts, from the media to emergency situations. Hearing impaired people face difficulties in daily interaction, which can lead to isolation and limit their development, seriously affecting their social participation. Despite advances in assistive hearing technologies, barriers persist due to limited economics and access to specialized education.
