Abstract

This article addresses the importance of personal development in adolescence from a comprehensive perspective, considering the cognitive, emotional, social, ethical, and physical dimensions of being human. In a context characterized by rapid technologicaltransformation, social complexity, and mental health challenges, it is essential to implement innovative strategies that promote the healthy and harmonious growth of adolescents. Through a critical review and a well founded proposal for action,various educational, psychopedagogical, and technological tools are presented that strengthen personal skills at this vital stage. The article incorporates the contribution of neuroscience to understand the brain And behavioral changes inherent to adolescent development, as well as the influence of technology asan agent of positive transformation. The article also highlights the role of socioemotional learning,personalized mentoring, and youth participation in community settings. This article includes the results Of a descriptive correlational survey of 200 adolescents from educational institutions in rural Guayaquil, Ecuador. This study demonstrates adolescents' interest in and need for greater opportunities for self reflection, emotional expression, and the development of life plans. It concludes that personal development in adolescence requires an interdisciplinary, contextualized, and sustained approach that engages educational, social, and family stakeholders in creating environments that foster autonomy, self esteem, and a sense of purpose. This comprehensive approach is presented as an effective path toward developing critical, empathetic, and resilient citizens.
