Abstract
Coping strategies are actions undertaken by individuals to modify situations that interfere with the normal course of daily life. These strategies may involve cognitive and behavioral variables such as emotional expression, problem avoidance, among others. They do not constitute solutions to conflicts but rather serve as mechanisms for containment in the face of stress- inducing factors. This study employed a descriptive, cross-sectional quantitative design. The Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI) was used as the assessment tool, and the entire population of public institution employees (24 workers) was included in the sample. The most frequently used strategies were: problem-solving (50%), social support (16.67%), and cognitive restructuring (13.33%). These findings suggest that the population regulates its emotional responses through these strategies, which contribute positively to psychological well- being. Identity, self-perception, social constructs, questioning, acceptance.
