Abstract
This research estimated the environmental impacts of emissions needed to produce one kilogram of product (broccoli, potato, and carrot) through the carbon footprint indicator (CF) of the agroecological food system in its agricultural phase, compared to the conventional system through the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). This research was carried out with farmers from the Juntas Parroquiales La Esperanza and Tabacundo, Cantón Pedro Moncayo, following the guidelines of the IPCC 2006 and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) protocol.
