Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN (INGLES) (*)A book dedicated entirely to the Illustrious Andes Basin and the cantons that make up the Azuaya province, which are projected with physical, social, economic, cultural and spiritual aspects of this region. This work presents the courageous participation of the community in the most emblematic moments of the different eras of national history, in which the Azuayo people distinguished themselves for their nobility, courage and temperance as protagonists of their historical construction. The province of Azuay, located in the south of Ecuador, is a territory blessed with a historical past, geographical diversity and a cultural heritage that dates back to Cañari, Inca, colonial and republican times. Fifteen cantons form part of this province, each with its own history, development and particularities.
