Abstract

The classroom is a sui generis space where unexpected events can occur with some frequency. If it is assumed that in this physical space, where educational content is worked on, some of the practices that human beings develop in broader social spheres are reproduced (Bourdieu &Passeron, 1996), it is not surprising that the classroom encloses the same complexities that individuals experience in their real daily lives. This work addresses a problem that has always been present in the classroom, but which, currently due to Covid-19, has become essential to deal with: the management of emotions that both students and teachers experience. in educational processes; emotions linked to the context determined by the restrictions currently imposed by the pandemic. From the description of an experience with university students narrated by the author, a qualitative analysis is presented based on a group interview with the protagonists, a theoretical reflection of this fact based on the multidimensional vision of the human being is carried out. with the support of the hidden curriculum and culminates by highlighting the urgent need for the teacher to prioritize the management of emotions in the classroom, especially in thisparticular context.
