Abstract
In view of the fact that at present there is still a methodological and epistemic opposition between the experimental sciences and the humanistic sciences, the present work tries to find, from the phenomenological and hermeneutic methods, elements to establish a fruitful dialogue between the two ways of investigating reality, searching for the holistic being. Phenomenology contributes to the inter-scientific dialogue, putting in parenthesis the aspects that are distracting in the search for the thing in itself. Hermeneutics understands historical prejudices as anticipated attempts in the search for truth; which is understood, not by the mechanical application of a method, but by the restless reason that seeks it with ontic spontaneity. From here we propose an encounter between hermeneutics and phenomenology for an integrating dialogue in contemporary science.
