Abstract

Transforming society, as ambitious as it may seem, is a priority and decisive commitment for higher education institutions and can be done from the classroom. An educational community aware of its role in this transformation will seek to generate new ways of learning for its members, thus reaching the relevant knowledge and tools that offer specific solutions to the deterioration of our environment. In addition to this, it is necessary to encourage in students a passionate sense of protagonism in the face of social change, so that they can respond in a constructive and innovative way within the different spaces of coexistence and in changing conditions. This is the proposal of accompaniment that should characterize the Salesian teaching style.
