Abstract
The purpose of the case study is to analyze the impact of the Social Engagement project carried out by the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS) at Monastery of Madres Conceptas in Cuenca, focusing on community development, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS). Through a mixed methodology, with an emphasis on qualitative research techniques such as in-depth interviews, NPS index, and document analysis, testimonies were collected that demonstrate significant improvements in living conditions and transformative social changes, concretely expressed in the increased productivity of the economic activities developed by the organization members and customer satisfaction. It also highlighted student participation and the knowledge transfer by the teachers involved in the project, strengthening the connection between the small industry represented by entrepreneurs and academia, generating a positive impact on the local community.
