Abstract

By the middle of the 7th century, Tang power had declined. The military defeat in 751 by the Arabs at the Battle of Talas marked the end of Tang authority in Central Asia. The military ruler Zhu Wen founded his own dynasty in 907. But over the years poems have been rescued from the book censored by Zhu Wen called The Forbidden Book of the Tang Dynasty. The poems belong to the poets: Bai Juyi, Li Po, Wang Wei, Tu Fu, Liu Zongyuan.
