Abstract
The memories of the I International Symposium of Philosophy and Theology: Views on the construction of the human in the XXI century wants to be a text for dialogue with society about the issues that concern fundamental questions that human beings have and that have been discussed by theology and philosophy from different approaches throughout history and that today the Salesian Polytechnic University wishes to update and put in the hands of readers through various papers that were presented at the event. Philosophy and theology from our Salesian institution make a continuous work of analysis, criticism and reflection on various dimensions of reality. Far from being a compilation of meaningless loquacity and far from human life, philosophy and theology maintain a continuous discussion on vital elements that involve the human being in an integral way. Despite the passage of time and the emergence of sciences that address the dimensions of reality in a specific and precise way, the philosophical/theological argument remains a recurring element in the areas of discussion about the human. The I International Symposium of Philosophy and Theology was held from November 20 to 22, 2019, and arose from the human reflection of both branches of knowledge on the Views on the construction of the human in the 21st century. The approach to the theme was based on four lines of reflection that linked the two branches of knowledge.
