The Knowledge of AI Applications for Managing Business Processes Abstract: In an increasingly digitalized world, artificial intelligence has become an indispensable tool for companies seeking to optimize their processes, enhance efficiency, and make timely decisions. This research aims to determine how knowledge of AI applications contributes to process management in businesses. An empirical methodology was used for the study, employing a survey as the data collection instrument, which was randomly administered to 385 businesses in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The survey inquired about the knowledge of AI applications and how these have contributed to business process management; the data collected was both quantitative and qualitative. The study found that several businesses are using AI applications for management activities, primarily for generating personalized messages and content on social media, and to a lesser extent for creating business names, logos, and slogans. Overall, these applications have helped optimize communication with customers, increase business popularity, and improve profitability levels. It is worth noting that a considerable number of businesses require more technical knowledge about AI applications to use them effectively in managing their processes. In conclusion, the study determined that while several businesses are using AI in a nascent way, they are eager to gain more knowledge about this powerful tool that is revolutionizing various fields.
