Abstract
This work deals with a topic that is key to analyze in this relationship between academia and gender: sexual harassment in higher education institutions. Let's start with some data. According to the 2010 census, in primary education the rate of female attendance is 90% of the population and in secondary education it is 40%, the gap between men and women has narrowed. However, in higher education the trend indicates that slightly more women have access, at 10%. Finally, women tend more than men to obtain a university degree. However, only 4% of women who work in universities as teachers are dedicated to research and only 33% hold decision-making positions.
