Abstract
In today's world, where information oversaturation and access to information is instantaneous and constant, media literacy is presented as a priority skill for people. Media literacy, also known as educommunication, is the ability to access, analyze, create and evaluate media in a critical and informed manner (García-Ruíz et al., 2018). Hence, in times of humanitarian crisis, media literacy becomes even more important. Humanitarian crises, natural disasters,armed conflicts and refugee crises can have a significant impact on individuals and communities (Torres-Toukoumidis et al., 2022), and they are often the subject of widespread media coverage (Torres-Toukoumidis et al., 2022).In addition, they are often widely covered by the media, which can influence public perception of and response to the crisis (Torres-Toukoumidis et al., 2022), and can have a significant impact on individuals and communities (Torres-Toukoumidis et al., 2022).
