Abstract
This book is the result of the collaboration of a group of researchers from different universities, which addresses the relationship between Education and Happiness in humanistic and Social Sciences fields. Specifically, it analyzes different possibilities that new technologies present for education, geography, history and heritage. In an increasingly inequitable world, education is the most appropriate mechanism to reduce inequality, poverty, exclusion, and consequently to have fairer and more productive societies with adequate levels of income and wealth distribution, i. e. communities with happier individuals. In this sense, one of the tools that contributes to that is the appropriate use of technology, even more so in this digital era that allows us to generate new and varied forms of teaching and learning that benefit an increasing number of students regardless of the study modality they choose; all this, with an appropriate convergence of media through an efficient combination of on-site and virtual activities in real time or deferred with the support of information and communication technologies that are advancing at an accelerated pace and we must take advantage of it in the best way.
