Abstract
In the vast panorama of contemporary philosophy, the work of Emmanuel Lévinas shines as a luminous reflection on ethics and otherness, because his thought invites us to challenge traditional conceptions of philosophy, placing at the center of reflection not the being itself, but the other, whose face and gaze radically challenge our existence. In this context, Lévinas proposes an ethics as a primary philosophy, where the relationship with the other not only reveals the truth about our own existence but also commits us morally to responsibility toward our neighbors.
