Abstract

The voices of those who are committed to another education and another school, inclusive and committed to life and well-being, are part of this book. An education that generates the exercise of citizenship; promotes the care of nature and harmonious coexistence among human beings; and contributes to the realization of the ideals of equality, inclusion and social justice. Texts and proposals that are born from the Coalition for the Right to Education in Ecuador, a space that emerged in April 2020, in the context of the pandemic. An initiative of professionals linked to academic networks, universities and research centers in response to the urgent need to produce knowledge in defense of education as a public good and common good; a human right today threatened by the widening of historical gaps and inequalities that violate the rights of the majority of the population. The institutions that participate in this publication ratify the need to articulate capacities and citizen advocacy initiatives so that the State fulfills its responsibility to guarantee access for the entire population to the human right to lifelong education.
