Abstract
Due to the relevance of the Popular and Solidarity Economy (EPS) for the country, the analysis of the economic situation of this sector is significant; identify its evolution in recent years, analyze the most representative sectors, according to the activities they carry out and the geographical region of location. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the financial situation of solidarity economy organizations in the agricultural and transportation sectors of Ecuador between the years 2017 and 2021. The research is based on official information published by the Superintendence of the Economy Popular and Solidarity (SEPS), with which a quantitative, descriptive and longitudinal analysis is carried out of the main financial indicators that allow identifying a better financial situation of the solidarity organizations that make up the agricultural sector, in relation to the transportation sector. Based on the results and the analyzes carried out, it can be concluded that the transportation sector has a better financial situation than the agricultural sector, since in each of the indicators studied it obtained more favorable results.
