Abstract
Personality traits have gained increasing interest as a explanatory factor of academic performance and dropout in environments college. With this premise, the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS -Ecuador) developed a strategy aimed at strengthening its vocational and professional guidance by incorporating a diagnosis early personality. Making it possible, in this way, to evaluate and improve the degree of compatibility between the personal characteristics of the applicants university stud.
