Abstract

This research shows the optimal design and deployment of wireless communications networks to transmit data from smart meters to control centers using 802.11 technology. The design of the network is carried out based on georeferenced data that allows to know the position of all the clients, which allows scalability and reliability. The results show the data transmission rate recorded by the access point, the channel usage time and network latency.
