Abstract

Ecuador faces a growing waste management problem due to population growth, with ineffective proposals for landfill expansion that worsen contamination. Therefore, the purpose of the project is to design and build a prototype biodigester on a smaller scale to take advantage of organic waste and produce biogas, a clean and renewable energy source, achieved with the application of formulas and methods to calculate the appropriate amounts in each of the tests in order to achieve successful results in biogas production.
