Abstract

This paper shows the steps followed for the implementation of the control system of a multilevel inverter. The study starts with the topology of independent sources used, then describes the implementation of the geometrical considerations algorithm used and the monitoring and protection systems on an FPGA-based board. Finally, the results of the commissioning of the complete system are presented, with the voltage and frequency measurements obtained at the inverter output, and the THD in the current and voltage at the load, which was around 7% with a resistive load, and less than 3% in an asynchronous motor.
