Abstract

The present project deals about the design and construction of a controller for the fuel pump by means of the feedback of the state spaces, through which the pulse width can be controlled for the variation of the revolutions to which the electric motor of rotation the pump, obtaining a better stabilization in a less time than with the use of a classic control. A study of modern control systems as well as experimental procedures for sampling at different engine operating regimes ensures that tests can be performed in a repetitive manner. Also the procedure for the creation of the controller is presented by obtaining the function of transfer, transformation to state spaces and creation of the observer. Afterwards the operation of the Samsung SM7 engine without the controller and the controller is described, for the final sampling and its subsequent analysis, exposing the effectiveness of the controllerand the energy saving obtained with the use of the same. Finally, the results obtained in the form of tables are presented, to generate conclusions and recommendations of the project carried out.
