Abstract
The digital transformation of work has led to reforms that balance labor rights with the flexibility required for innovation. In Colombia, Law No.2466 of 2025 regulates remote work, platform work, and algorithmic transparency. This study compares it with the proposed EU Platform Work Directive, Spain’s Rider Law and Remote Work Decree, and the Chilean Law No. 21.431. The methodology combines documentary analysis with a comparative matrix on four dimensions: administrative obligations, algorithmic transparency, telework regulation, and retraining in digital skills. The results show that, while Colombia aligns with global trends in the recognition of digital work, it imposes higher formal and administrative demands, challenging small businesses. Weaknesses were also identified across all jurisdictions regarding funding and impact measurement for reskilling. The study concludes that more balanced frameworks require stronger institutions, the promotion of digital skills, and incentives for formalization.
