Abstract

© 2017 IEEE. In this written is presented the development of a didactic plant, of low cost, in which is possible to do practices of classic and advanced control. The variable to control is the luminous intensity, this equipment will strengthen the students' practice knowledge of careers related to the industrial control area. The implementation counts with an electric circuit, which has a smart sensor, an embedded system, and as actuator elements LED diodes, a monitoring and control interface has been development using the Matlab Simulink tool. Finally, there is the physical part where the control of illumination is made. The equipment were tested, applying a PID type controller, what check the factibility level of the using of the plant as an instrument to proof control algorithms. This system will give to universities the opportunity of provider of a low cost device by their automatic control laboratories.
