Abstract
This project deals with the detection of incipient faults previously caused to an internal combustion engine, through the characteristics of the vibration signals that occur in the engine. The data for the analysis are obtained by means of the accelerometer, and in agreement with the data of the inductive clamp, the beginning and end of a working cycle of the engine are determined. The characteristic signal obtained represents the vibrating oscillations under steady and induced conditions. The method to be used is analysis of variance ANOVA. The project analyzes the existing differences between the signals of incipient faults with the signal under standard conditions, and the differences between the signals with different faults.
