Abstract
This article describes the process for the design and construction of a soil drilling machine intended for anchors with a diameter of 32 mm and a depth of 12 000 mm, for slope stabilization. The design took into account the soil resistance, force and rotation speed required to generate the drilling. The different mechanical elements that allow the transmission of force and movement were dimensioned considering the different stresses to which the parts are subjected, adding the safety factor according to the type of machine to be designed. Hydraulic systems were used for longitudinal and vertical movement. The economic evaluation was carried out considering the payback time of the investment and the local manufacturing cost, compared to the import price of an equipment of similar characteristics. making of land drilling machine, it will be used for making holes to moorings with this size diameter 32 mm and 12000 mm, that it will be used for slope stabilization. The land resistance, the force and the required rotation speed for making the hole, were considered in the design process. The some mechanical parts were dimensioned to allow the movement and force transmission, considered the different stresses by which the parts are submitted and added the safe factor in order to machine to be designed. The machine used hydraulic system for longitudinal and transverse movement. Lastly, the economical evaluation was done considering the investment return in the time and the building local cost was compared with the import price of equipment as the same features.
