Abstract
This work condenses the results obtained in the development, simulation and comparison of the differential protection algorithm, which bases its operation on harmonic blocking, using the discrete Fourier transform, capable of protecting the power transformer from internal faults, blocking the disconnection in the presence of non-fault states such as energization and overexcitation.
