In the document Orientations for pastoral care in Salesian institutions of higher education, in its number 30 it is stated that: In line with what is indicated by the document "Ex Corde Ecclesiae" on the mission of the Catholic university, the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education They are called to commit themselves to the investigation of truth, the preservation and communication of knowledge for the good of society, promoting through their specific functions - teaching, research and service to society - the dialogue between the Gospel and culture; especially encouraging the defense of human dignity, the promotion of human rights and the common good, the formation of a critical and supportive conscience, respect for diversity and plurality and the construction of justice and peace (IUS, 2018).
