Abstract

This document analyzes why violence against women has been on the rise, from blows, kicks and insults, now it has moved on to stabbing, strangulation and even cold-blooded killing with a bladed weapon. The situation is worrisome and the measures taken are never enough, first reprisals from their former cohabitants and fear of the family members put them in trouble when it comes to denounce such aggressions and death. According to the information provided by the Ministry of Women, the figures of violence against women are alarming, only in 2014 in the files of the Ministry there are 600 victims of femicide caused by their partners.
