Abstract
This document is prepared based on a qualitative-explanatory and high-reference research, since the information is based on the application of combined techniques: the search of official documents and the contrast of the data with the testimonies of the actors and authorities who were interviewed according to the different stages of the medium's existence. The typology of a radio laboratory is distinguished that supports the professional training of communicators in a collaborative modality with the intention of becoming a convergent medium that transcends the university community and Ecuadorian society.
