Abstract
In the first chapter, Jessica Lourdes Villamar Muñoz, presents her paper: Critical Pedagogy as a reference for the production of knowledge, addresses the foundations of critical pedagogy and its current relevance for the construction of knowledge and its relationship with the environment; likewise, a tour is made through the thinking of some of its representatives among which Freire, Giroux, Mclaren and their approaches to generate spaces and experiences for students to produce and generate knowledge from popular culture, from contact with reality and the development of a committed sensitivity, a critical reflection that denounces those practices that favor or denigrate life and justice. practices that favor or denigrate life and justice.
