Communication, Politics and Development addresses a variety of objects of study, approaches and methodologies used in the field of communication studies in our region. The proposals seek to incorporate new approaches from multiple disciplines associated with communication from a critical perspective. At the same time, this compilation seeks to understand communication not in an instrumental way, but as a complex process of social meaning and interaction, with political, technological, social and cultural implications. In this sense, the Communication Studies Series, of which this book is a part, seeks to encourage discussion, debate and scientific production from different angles or perspectives, leading to the resolution of problems through applied research or the development of theoretical essays that strengthen communication research from transdisciplinary perspectives.
