Abstract
It characterizes the situation and evolution of the Quito communes from the ontological and legal situation with the legislation of the time. Along with the approximation of communal thought and praxis. The methodology in the ethnographic exercise included the systematization of conversations, encounters, meetings with community leaders between 2010 and 2018, to decipher the levels of strength, organization, collective identity, social fabric and its transformations.
