Abstract

© 2018 IEEE. Nowadays, optical filters are one of the components more used into the different applications related to the optics communications as they are able to select wavelengths; in this way, some wavelengths will be passed and other will be rejected. The first part of this paper presents characteristic technical parameters of optical filters based in Fiber Bragg Grating, Fabry-Perot, Mach-Zehnder, AWG (Arrayed Waveguide Grating) and AOTF (Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter). In the second part simulations related to change FWHM in transfer functions for each optical filter are exposed. In the third part, based on results of simulations the FWHM is analyzed.
