The book is composed of three parts. The first part, Society and the search for the common good, proposes to the reader points of view about how the concepts of interculturality and Good Living are interpreted today. The second, Science and technology and ancestral wisdom: cases of research applied to the Ecuadorian context, presents the results of research carried out in different disciplinary fields such as education, digital communication, chemistry, medicine and informatics, united by the intention of associating technological development with knowledge, heritage of ancestral cultures. The third part presents the results of scientific research that show how medicine, one of the most important and technologically advanced scientific and social fields of our era, results in multiple expressions of deep cultural roots that relate ancestral and conventional practices.
