Abstract

In this article we report the results of the study on psychosocial factors mediators of the collective youth action in the National Agreement for the Youth Constituent Assembly (NAYC), which was one of the platforms of political incidence that grouped 140 youth organizations in the constituent process lived in Ecuador between 2006 and 2008. We analyzed 11 interviews applied to young men and women who played an active role in this process, and 4 interviews with members of collaborating institutions. We used the substantiated theory to work with the data, which allowed us to observe that the most relevant psychosocial factors are organized in: 1) Agencies: institutional relationships and hope; 2) Powers: reflexivity, conflicts, autonomy, creativity, and affective bonds; And 3) Resistances: critical reflexivity against the established logic, the new vision of the State and the public function. Finally, we conclude that we are dealing with political subjectivities that are articulated from the consensus and management of the real ("politics"), rather than about conflict and the production of political meanings ("the political") that translates into a limited horizon for collective action and social transformation.
