Abstract

The experience that we want to reflectively narrate is based on the memory of several coliving developed at the Cuenca, Quito and Guayaquil headquarters of the Salesiana Polytechnic University. In this context, we call coliving (‘living together’) a very special type of camp students belonging to the training cycle of the research / innovation ecosystem /startup of the UPS, designed for students experiencing difficulties of diverse type in the initial phase of their university studies, mainly. Whether the students go through learning difficulties, emotional crises or vocational doubts, etc., hopes that coliving will offer them the opportunity to find, with and among peers, motivation and the necessary impulse to resume their options and the path of their academic itineraries. As the practice of coliving has grown stronger, we feel the need to reflect about it with the expectation that it is a relevant strategy also for Salesian educational centers, particularly at the baccalaureate level. Encourage this reflection. In addition, the search for references that contribute to imagining coliving in a richer and more innovative every time. In mapping the referents, we identify an intuition of starting point that consists of starting from what the students are and bring with them.
